Frequently Asked Questions
When should I schedule my Bridal Portrait?
There is no wrong time. Some brides choose to have their bridal portraits taken before the day of the wedding to save time on the actual day. If the idea of getting the dress dirty before the wedding makes you nervous, then perhaps we can take your portraits a couple weeks after the wedding.
Why are Bridal Portraits so popular?
Not only does this give us a chance to work together before your wedding day, but this portrait session is a great way to test your choice of hair style, veil length, and dress alterations, not to mention it allows you spend more time with your guests on the wedding day.
How long does a Bridal Portrait session last?
The session is about an hour long. You can choose to include the groom or make this your special session to share with him later. The session includes approximately 100 edited images on USB with a print release.
Where do we shoot the Engagement session?
Have your engagement photos taken in a location that is important to the two of you. This could be a place you got engaged, or had your first date, it could be at a place you both like to spend time, or something you like to do together.
How many Wedding images do you deliver?
Although there is no limit to the number of images I shoot on the wedding day I usually deliver 500-1000. 85% of the images on the wedding day are NOT posed.
How long before my previews will be online and receive my USB?
My goal is to have your preview online in about a week to 10 days. I like to stay current in my workflow and deliver images in a reasonable time. On occasion, it may take up to two weeks.
What if there is an emergency and you can’t photograph my wedding?
In 30 years, I am thankful to say such an incident has not occurred. That said, it could, so I am prepared. Over the years, I have cultivated a network of fellow wedding photographers and we have helped each other out. If something major occurred that prevented me from photographing your wedding, I would be able to reach out to others in this industry to take my place.
Do you have backup equipment?
Absolutely! I have a second set of cameras, lenses and lights. Also, my backup equipment is the same caliber as my main equipment. In the event I have to utilize my backup equipment, the quality of the photos will not be compromised.
How soon should I book you for my wedding date?
As soon as you know. This goes for any photographer, videographer, ceremony/reception venue because once that date is booked, it is gone. As soon as you decide on a photographer, lock him or her down!
